For the truly adventurous, this full-day trip is the ultimate test of endurance! Start at Williams Dam, where the roar of the water will immediately set the tone for the journey ahead. Paddle through rich history as you pass under the Historic Williams Covered Bridge, then continue past rolling farmland, shaded riverbanks, and dramatic bends. Take in the sights of Henshaw Bend, McBrides Bluff, and more, while enjoying the peaceful, yet sometimes challenging currents. A perfect blend of stunning landscapes, wildlife, and local history makes this the ultimate river adventure. The shuttle ride to the Williams Dam is 30 minutes, and after your long day on the water, enjoy a 1-minute shuttle back to Star Mill. * Note that views of the dam are spectacular enough heading downstream from the boat ramp. Star Mill Gathering Place canoes and kayaks are NOT allowed to travel upstream from the boat ramp to ensure the safety of our clients.
